Richgas accepts energy assistance for low income customers
and those needing help to purchase propane for the winter.
The LIHEAP (Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program) is a
federally funded program that provides support to needy,
low-income households for utility bill payments. Federal
funds are distributed to each state and the individual
states then administer the program and funds distribution.
LIHEAP pays partial energy bills for eligible families.
The program usually makes payments directly to your local
utility company. Because the LIHEAP program provides support
on a first come-first serve basis, it is important to apply
as early as possible as some states provide no further
support once their federal funding has run out.
If you are unsure how to apply for propane heating
assistance, call our Richgas office Monday through Friday
between 8 AM and 5 PM at (814) 837-7670 and we will be happy
to help you with the information you need.
